As an automatic on-line toxicity biomonitoring system, which uses luminescent bacteria (vibrio fischeri) to detect toxicants in water samples. Basically, the monitor system compute the differences of the luminous intensity before and after expose in the water sample, in order to calculate the toxicity. The shortest detection period is about 27 minutes. The monitor method is consistent with the specification of international ISO 11348-3, EU EN ISO 11348-3, US ASTM D5660 and other 96 specifications, which biomonitoring system can be test on many water bodies, such as river, reservoir, running water and waste water.
Application Performance iTOXcontrol user units include: Netherland Water Environemetal Laboratory,Center for Environmental Research (UFZ),Bayerisches River Authority,Umweltshutz River Authority,US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),Daimler Chrysler Corporation,University of Regensburg,Washington Water Service Company,Veolia Water,GuangZhou Water Supply Co.,BeiJing Waterworks Group,ZhengZhou Water Supply Co., and other company units.
Pros of the system Easy to operate with simple interface and well stability Automatic On-Line Immediate System Include remote management and automatic alarm function Fast reaction respounds(27 mins) Reliable and low cost operation Fluorescent bacteria can be cultured in the bioreactor in the controlled condition of the system Low frequency of maintenance(2 weeks) Automatic resume working condition after power down Automatic detection methods in line with the ISO 11348 Specification The light-emitting fluorescent bacteria tested more than 5000 kinds of toxic chemicals Numerous applications performed in Europe and China
