The extractive FTIR system extract the gaseous sample into the sampling absoption cell by using pumping machine. Basically, the longer length of the cell, the better of range in detection. The extractive FTIR system has several cell-based accessories mainly use in industrial monitoring and process control. These cells are varied from fixed 10cm cells to variable path 150m folded-path cells. All cells can be heated to over 200° C and automated temperature control systems are available.
The choice of the appropriate cell depends on the concentration ranges that is monitored. IMACC will assist in choosing an appropriate cell, or we will build a custom one if it is needed.
Extractive FTIR suits in:
Gaseous Analysis from chimney emission, which can be also replaced using heat-proof testing tube and pre-treatment system.
Point source analysis, or mutiple points source analysis
